Corporate Authorised Representative, 20:20 Insurance Services commenced on 1 March 2010 by previous Directors Les Engelbrecht and Thomas Harrys, both experienced Insurance Brokers. They now operate the LEA Insurance Brokers Brisbane Office with LEA Aviation Pty Ltd.

Les Engelbrecht - Authorised Representative
With over 23 years in the insurance industry, Les launched the Brisbane office of LEA Insurance Brokers in 2002. Prior to this, he held several senior positions at a number of insurance companies in Queensland and NSW.
Joining the industry with a role at AMP, Les then moved to CGU where he was progressively promoted through a number of positions which included a transfer to manage a regional base in Queensland. His commitment to premium outcomes saw him return to Brisbane as a commercial underwriter, and then Account Executive.
Les joined Royal & SunAlliance in 1999 where after a brief stay in Brisbane he was asked to launch a new division for "vital partners" in Sydney. Through his role as Business Relationship Manager, Les carved out an enviable track record for premium service delivery, and was honoured with the runner-up award for the 2000 National Business Relationship Manager of the Year.
Leading a team of four people, Les improved turnaround times and service to the broker market, and built strong business relationships, growing the division to exceed budgets by 19%, increase strike rates to 23% and raise revenue by 73%.
Identifying customer service and technical knowledge as his major strength, Les believes his wealth of experience looking after large scale assets and high-profile clients gives him a real understanding of the breadth and depth of the market and an ability to tap into exclusive resources.
He joined LEA with the desire to deal with fellow business owners and operators, and enjoys delivering value-added service. Les is the Chairman of the Brisbane Metro North Crime Stoppers and is active in local fundraising initiatives for the assocation.
In his spare time, Les enjoys trail bike riding, swimming and running.
Les is the Brisbane Office Manager.

Thomas Harrys - Authorised Representative
Thomas is LEA's Brisbane Corporate Broker, managing key corporate accounts across a range of industry sectors.
With 23 years experience in insurance broking, Thomas has held senior positions at a number of leading insurers, also running his own insurance business within Elders Insurance at Ipswich between 2002 and 2006.
Tripling the business in three years, Thomas' commitment to client service is a major strength that he brings to the LEA Insurance Brokers team. Prior to Elders, Thomas was a Partner and Director at GSA Insurance Brokers in Brisbane and Sydney between 1993 and 2002.
Thomas' service-oriented approach to client accounts compliments his solid foundations of managing accounts for a variety of local and multinational companies. With an extensive resource base and comprehensive understanding of the industry, Thomas is well positioned to deliver an unsurpassed level of service to corporate accounts.
Thomas is a member of the Australian Insurance Institute and previously served on the Council of the National Insurance Brokers Association. In his spare time Thomas enjoys the beach, golf and rugby union, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Thomas is based at LEA's Brisbane office.

Howard Murray - Insurance Broker
Howard Murray is a specialist aviation insurance broker looking after clients throughout Australia, South East Asia and the Pacific Region including Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Indonesia, Cambodia and Noumea.
Howard qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 and spent 3 years in London at a major international accounting firm before entering the aviation insurance industry in 1994. In 1998 Howard established a specialist aviation insurance broking business, GBS Aviation which he grew to a multimillion dollar operation which was merged with LEA Insurance Brokers in 2007. His clients cover a broad spectrum of the aviation industry from single aircraft private owners, corporate jets, commercial fixed and rotary wing charter operators, helicopter and aeroplane flying schools and regional airlines.
Howard believes that Price, Security, Service and Claims attitudes are the cornerstones of insurance and none should be unduly compromised. Howard sets himself apart from other aviation insurance brokers because of his ability to not only understand their insurance needs, but also to understand their underlying business.
Howard is a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker and also holds an unrestricted private pilots licence. He has served as Director on a number of companies including some of his aviation clients and has previously played an active role in assisting with mergers and acquisitions of clients, arranging finance packages for their aircraft and assisting as intermediary in the purchase and acquisition of aircraft.
Howard heads a small dynamic and lateral thinking team of aviation insurance experts who are able to assist with aviation insurance enquiries.

Ken Rickard - Insurance Broker
Ken has a background in Insurance spanning 43 years. Initially commencing with a Lloyds placements facility in London and has worked for several Insurers and International Brokerages in the UK, New Zealand and here in Australia. As an owner/operator of his own brokerages in NZ and Australia for 15 years, Ken has the expertise to understand and capably manage the needs of business owners from a very wide range of industries, including amongst others, the specialist fields of Energy, Oil & Gas, Marine and Travel industries.
Ken moved to the Gold Coast and joined LEA Insurance Brokers five years ago. He is a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker (QPIB) and has completed a Diploma of Financial Services General Insurance Broking.
Married with two adult children Ken has been involved for many years in the music & entertainment industry. He plays drums as a hobby and is a committee member of Spotlight Theatrical Company community theatre.
Ken is based at LEA's Gold Coast office.

Sue Vassella - Insurance Broker
A specialist in commercial and domestic insurance Sue has been working in the insurance broking industry for over 23 years on the Gold Coast.
Sue's experience and knowledge gathered during these years allows her to represent clients in a wide range of insurance areas and to assist her clients to achieve practical and effective results, and strives in providing superior customer service.
Sue has been with LEA Insurance Brokers since the year 2000 and has completed a Diploma of Financial Services General Insurance Broking and is a member of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance.
Living on the Gold Coast for most of her life, Sue enjoys the beautiful beaches and fantastic restaurants, is married with three teenage children, who all play soccer in the local Gold Coast Federation.

Steve Glover - Insurance Broker
Steve comes to LEA Insurance with over 20 years of commercial and domestic experience with Suncorp Insurance. In 1992 Steve completed the insurance exams through the Australian Insurance Institute to gain his Affiliateship.
He was accredited as an Authorised Representative of Suncorp in 1999, which then enabled him to build up his own client portfolio based on customer focus and service. Steve's experience in all types of insurance products allows him to individualize the insurance programs that best suit each of his clients.
Born in Gosford, Steve moved to the Gold Coast in 1987. Married with two children he enjoys playing indoor cricket and golf and is involved in his children's sporting teams as well. He likes nothing better than to go away camping with his family and working on his house.

Daniel Tasarz - Insurance Broker
Born and raised in Adelaide, Daniel moved to the Gold Coast in 2004 lured by the beaches and relaxed lifestyle the Gold Coast has to offer.
Daniel commenced his insurance career with Allianz Insurance in the Motor Claims area. First as a consultant, helping clients through what is often a stressful and emotional period after having a motor vehicle accident. He was then promoted to a Claim File Specialist which involved liaising with both repairers and clients to ensure a successful outcome for all concerned.
Keen to learn the sales side of insurance Daniel then moved into a Support & Underwriting role still within Allianz. In this role he was able to learn the technical side of the various products available, and understanding how the needs of clients can vary from one to another.
Daniel’s career has been very much focused on the importance of customer service, listening to what they want, then tailoring a satisfactory insurance programme for their individual requirements. Since starting with LEA Insurance Brokers in 2006, he has successfully completed his qualifications and now has a portfolio of clients ranging from SME Business to Domestic. He prides himself in the high standard of customer care and quality of his work and is committed to working hard to achieve positive results for his clients.
In his spare time Daniel likes to escape to the outdoors, either camping, fishing, boating or simply lazing on the beach.

Warren Radloff - Insurance Broker
Warren commenced in the General Insurance Industry in October 1973 with SGIO/Suncorp, Townsville.
During this 38 years in the insurance field, great experience was gained through a variety of roles including Underwriting, Claims, Area Manager, Business Development and Broking.
Warren has the expertise and knowledge to advise and assist clients in all aspects of their general insurance whether Home, Car, Business, Commercial , Farm or Claims.
Moving to the Gold Coast 9 years ago, he joined LEA Insurance Brokers in November 2006 as an Insurance Broker. Married with 3 children (and 3 grandchildren), Warren relaxes playing touch football and body boarding at the beach.
Warren is based at LEA's Gold Coast Office in Bundall.

Paul Langdale - Authorised Representative
Paul has worked as an Adviser in this industry for over 13 years having completed his Cert (IV) Financial Planning and Diploma of Financial Planning 1, 2 3 &4. Prior to joining LEA, Paul worked for The Silvalake Group where he received the Outstanding Achievement Award for 2000-2001.
Paul is a Risk Specialist for both personal and business insurance, encompassing life, TPD, income protection and trauma covers (including buy/sell and keyperson business insurance). He enjoys the face to face interaction with clients to discuss their unique situations and providing solutions to their individual requirements.
Living on the Gold Coast he enjoys bike riding, squash, playing in the over 35s soccer competition and enjoys the challenge of Texas Holdem poker. When not being active he enjoys reading non fiction books. Paul is a firm believer in setting goals and striving to achieve them.
